2013 Spring Golf Memorabilia Auction
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 4/12/2013
The All-American Golf Tournaments hosted by George May and played at Tam O'Shanter Country Club just outside Chicago were the favorite event on the yearly 1950's PGA schedule. Though not a Major the Pro's of the day would not miss this event as if provided by far the largest paychecks of the year, so large, that a player could win this sole event not win another in the course of the year and still lead the Tour in money won for the year. Offered here is the brightly colored Contestants Pin of Chick Harbert who would go on to win the PGA Championship in 1954. Pin measures 2 1/8" diameter still retains in original pin backing, although it does show minor wear on the reverse.
Session 1: Lots 1-500 will end on 4/11/13 and Session 2 Lots 500+ will end on 4/14/13 with extended bidding to start at 9:00 PM EST for both sessions. In order to bid in extended bidding you must place a bid on the lot before 9pm on auction closing day.
