Original Arnold Palmer & Jack Nicklaus at Sahalee Painting by Jess Cauthorn - Framed
Here lies an original painting titled 'Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus on 6 South, Shalee, Redmond, Wa.' by artist Jess Cauthorn, A.W.S. The rivalry in Augusta saw Nicklaus take the title from Palmer in 1963 and in 1964 Palmer get his revenge. When it was all said and done they combined for 10 Masters titles and 25 majors. What began as great amount of mutual respect between the rivals from different backgrounds transpired into a lifelong friendship. The duo would go on to give the game of golf a great show for many decades, long after their Masters win streak from 1962 until 1966. This watercolor painting mixes darks and lights, with the addition and focus on detail not being lost. An abstract background helps maintain the viewer's focus on The 'Golden Bear' and 'The King', likely analyzing their next shot at the historic Shalee. To ensure accuracy the artist painted over a light picture of each legends head, only noticeable under close inspection. It is framed and matted professionally. 28 1/2" x 33 1/2"

NEW AUCTION CLOSING RULES:
Place your bids now as this auction will close LOT BY LOT beginning at 9:00pm ET Sunday, May 23rd. When placing INITIAL bid, you must agree to the terms BEFORE confirming your bid. All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will be eligible for the extended bidding period. The countdown clock will be set for a 30-minute interval. Each lot will have it’s own 30-minute countdown. The clock will extend 30-minutes from the time of the most recently placed bid for that lot. If no bids are placed on that lot during a 30-minute period, the lot will close. Place your bids now!
1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm ET
4. All lots will begin closing on a LOT BY LOT basis at 9pm ET
**Once extended bidding starts at 9pm ET, each lot will then begin closing with its own 30-minute countdown timer. We recommend you place your maximum bid(s) prior to that time. Thank you**
