With its origin from the renowned John Frick Jewelry Company of New York it was easy to see why this 1931 Montclair Country Club Runner Up Sterling Medal would be spectacular. The scalloped edge medal is 1 1/4" in diameter and presents the raised image of a golfer at play and laurels. The strikingly designed award of achievement on the course features the medal with cicular wording around the face " Upper Montclair Country Club New Jersey" which has been suspended from a black ribbon measuring 6 inches by 5/8 inch. The Montclair Country Club just 12 miles from Manhattan has hosted professional golf on the PGA, Senior and LPGA Tours across the 27 holes it offers. The classic old school Montclair C.C. routing was designed by A.W. Tillinghast with a rework by the design hands of Robert Trent Jones Sr. Reverse of this medal is stamped "Club Championship 1931 Runnerup" also etched in the medal are manufacturer "John Frick Jewelry Co., N.Y". and "Sterling". This treasured award remains in virtually the same condition as it was when awarded in 1931.

In order to bid in extended bidding you must place a bid on the lot before 9pm on auction closing day.
