2013 Fall Golf Antiques and Collectibles Auction
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/27/2013
There is an old saying in golf wagering "Never play a competitor who has a better tan then you for money". PGA pro Jimmy Hines could have been white as snow with no tan lines and you would have not wanted to play him for money on the Glen Falls course. The Open of said name was contested there between 1929-39. In that short span Hines claimed the Championship three times (1933, 1936 and 1937). Offered here is a contestants badge from the year of Hines last win in 1937. In VG condition retaining its original manufacturers paper, but it does lack a back clasping pin. The pin has a 1 1/4" diameter.
In order to bid in extended bidding you must place a bid on the lot before 9pm on auction closing day.
