1954 Inverness Mixed Foursome Sterling Silver Winner's Trophy
As the winner of the 1954 Inverness mixed foursome event, Frank Stranahan received the trophy offered in this lot. It's base displays an intricately decorated pattern known as "Wild Rose". This fine design was a favorite of silver crafters in the late 1940's and 50's. Engraving on this award that measures 2 1/4" diameter by 3" tall follows:
