2010 OPEN Championship at St. Andrews Contestant Badge with Provenance Letter
This offering is for the toughest of all tournament credentials for the 2010 OPEN Championship at St. Andrews, the contestant badge. This tournament was the 150th anniversary of the Open Championship and was won by South African Louis Oosthuizen. Oosthuizen scored a 272, 16 under par, besting European Ryder Cup members Lee Westwood, Paul Casey, Rory McIlroy and Henrik Stenson. This celebration of the oldest major fittingly was played at the home of golf that week, St Andrews. The contestant badge is in very good condition pinned on the original back, in similar condition to when it was issued, and it measures 1 1/2. **Please note that the main title was correct, but the secondary title just above the description stated this badge belonged to Mr Gary Player. This is not the case, and there is not a letter of provenance to accompany this lot stating so. Due to the late adjustment to this lot, please contact us so we can address this accordingly.
