Late 1800's John 'Jack' Walker Playclub with Repair to Hooky Face
John 'Jack' Walker worked for Willie Park Sr. and then went off on his own, showing Robert Ferguson how to make clubs. Young Willie Park remembered Walker as a clubmaker when he was 6 or 7. Slight loft. Rams horn sole insert. Repaired with likely gutty on face. Replacement leather grip. Early-style thick head. Likely used off grass, as damage is not consistent with it being hit off the tee. Oval shaped shaft. It was made it feathery style. 42"
