Late 1800's Mungo Park 'M. Park' Wooden Niblick


Purportedly less than 10 known from Mungo Park, it was purchased by William Roberto from Jeff Ellis. Mungo Park was brother of Willie Park. Learned golf at age 4. Mungo was a sailor at sea for 20 years, with a return to land in the early 1970's. Crafted in 4th quarter of 1800's. Mungo was Open Champion in 1874, besting Young Tom Morris. Four-time top-10 Open Championship finalist from 1875-1881. Mungo Park was a teacher, course architect, and clubmaker. 42 1/2"
