Early-Mid 1800's Unknown Maker Feather Ball Era Playclub
This 'playclub' was used out of ground or sand, opposed to rut or rough terrain known for club abuse, leaving this example in good condition for its nearly 200 year old age. Some clubmakers shops didn't have crown stamps, which is the case with this exemplar. Lead weight was added later to sole. Appears to be original grip. The shaft to hosel silhouette is thin to thick. Excellent "whippy" feathery ball club. Parallel crown and heel. Some final marks on face and bottom later for desired impact. Appears to be original grip. 45 1/2"
If you would like any additional pictures of the club we would be happy to to supply them, please inquire prior to February 3rd for sufficient time to guarantee a thorough response. Please use the accompanying card as merely a reference tool, as we have done additional research to best determine age of these vintage clubs and present them as such.
