This 1962 US Open Scorecard marks the start of a legacy. Nicklaus, as a Rookie, defeated Arnold Palmer in an 18-hole playoff to gain his fist career win and his first Major at Oakmont Country Club in Oakmont, Pennsylvania. The Bear’s first win marked the beginning of a record setting career that culminated in 18 Major titles. Nicklaus set a standard that every golfer since has hoped but failed to achieve. This scorecard is in NR-MT condition.
