MacGregor 'The Greatest Name in Golf' Golf Company Tin with Removable Lid
John MacGregor and Edward Canby joined forces in 1896 to form "Crawford, MacGregor, & Canby." They became the first American manufacturer of golf clubs. In the 1930's the company was acquired by the Goldsmith Company and shortly there after became just MacGregor. Here we have a very nice decorative tin from MacGregor. It comes in an octagon shape with a removable lid. The bottom is stamped "Container made in Belgium for MacGregor "The Greatest Name in Golf." Golfers are depicted on the sides, alternating picturesque holes. 6 3/4" tall with a diameter of 4 1/2"
