Michael Jordan Signed 2000 MJ Golf Classic 1st Place Trophy JSA #XX05715
His Airness Michael Jordan, maybe you have heard of him. Reigning supreme in not only the game of basketball but the world of sport is the Chicago Bulls' 3rd overall pick of the 1984 NBA Draft out of the University of North Carolina. Nike's poster child was known for his athletic prowess, and for our purposes love for the game of golf. Teaming up with the fellow Looney Toon characters in the original 1996 animated film 'Space Jam' was an easy choice for Jordan after being persuaded by Bugs Bunny to help the squad on none other than, you guessed it, a golf course. Along with Nike and Gatorade, McDonalds was one of MJ's top sponsorship deals, with the Michael Jordan Golf Classic raising significant funds for the Ronald McDonald House charity.
Here is the first place winner's trophy from Michael Jordan's 2000 Golf Classic 'Big Red Shoe Award' signed across the big, red toe by Michael Jordan with his flowing full signature. It was a Greenville, North Carolina golf tournament using Jordan's namesake since his rookie year in 1987 until its final year, in 2000. Michael Jordan played in the event since 1985, even prior to attaching his name to it. While Jordan has signed a significant amount of autographs over the years, they still command a premium despite the medium they grace. While obvious, it must be stated anyway that this medium is likely a one of a kind. It is undocumented how many of the years this trophy was used, but it can't be more than a handful. With it being penned by likely the highest demanded signature in sport, you are looking at quite possibly a 1-of-a-kind Michael Jordan gem (insert slam dunk investment pun here). Each lot has its own 30 minute countdown clock during extended bidding. The clock will extend 30-minutes from the time of the most recently placed bid for that lot. If no bids are placed on that lot during a 30-minute period, the lot will close. Place your bids now!
1. Place your initial bids BEFORE 10pm ET in order to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you may bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. Lots with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 10pm ET
Extended bidding starts at 10pm ET, and each lot will begin closing with its own 30-minute countdown timer. Lots without a bid placed during extended bidding will close at 10:30pm ET. We recommend you place your maximum bid(s) prior to that time. Thank you
