Mid 1800's Feather-Filled 'Gressick' Ball - One of Finest Conditions Known
Feathery golf balls are a cornerstone to a vintage golf ball collection. This feathery is one of the finest condition specimens known. Gressick balls were made by the father/son team in the early to mid 1800's in Scotland. Their feathery golf balls were considered high end for the time and because of there higher price they made less golf balls. This ball is a near perfect example and displays perfectly. Ball is off white, and displays the Maker name "Gressick" nicely across the ball. Ball was shown to two long time collectors before auction and they both said it was the nicest they had seen. This feathery comes from one of the finest golf collections and was purchased privately in the UK in the 1980's. Great example of a named feathery that would be the crown jewel of any vintage golf ball collection.
