Official CBS Personnel TV Tower Only Sign from c.1980's Masters Tournament
You cant miss it. 'OFFICIAL TV TOWER CBS PERSONNEL ONLY' is boldly painted across this substantial white and green painted plywood sign with a welcomed distressed/weathered look. The look that hints at the inanimate object's inkling to tell stories from the Masters Tournament of years past, going on four decades ago more specifically. Slight crazing in the paint and stenciled 'Masters Green' bold, uppercase font that matches the entirety of the verso, which likely matched the TV Tower itself. There are four holes, one in each corner, by way of screw mounting - again showing welcomed usage. CBS remains The Masters sole television broadcaster with limited interruption, as it has since the $5,000 rights were gained in 1956. This specific sign is placed in the mid 1970's-80's period, with the likelihood that it signified the raised camera vantage point for numerous 'Traditions Unlike Any Other.' Names like Ken Venturi, Jim Nantz, Pat Summerall, Verne Lundquist all under the CBS personality umbrella, in what is a long-standing best of the best television lineup and a storied tournament broadcast partnership. Was this very sign there for Jack Nicklaus' wins? How many? Likely and unsure, as photo matching remains a distinct possibility with extensive Masters Tournament galleries on many platforms. Masters signs once displayed during the famed Augusta, Georgia contest or contests come to market with extreme rarity please factor that in when bidding.24" x 18"

During extended bidding, each lot will have its own 30-minute countdown clock. The clock will extend 30-minutes from the time of the most recently placed bid for that lot. If no bids are placed on that lot for a 30-minute period, the lot will close. Place your bids now!
1. Place your initial bids BEFORE 10pm ET in order to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you may bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. Lots with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 10pm ET
Extended bidding starts at 10pm ET, and each lot will begin closing with its own 30-minute countdown timer. Lots without a bid placed during extended bidding will close at 10:30pm ET. We recommend you place your maximum bid(s) prior to that time. Thank you
