Original Bobby Jones Oil Painting 'The Jones Grand Slam' by Artist Robert Fletcher - Framed
Exquisite depictions of the four original major championship trophies surround their 1930 crowned champion Bobby Jones standing in the center donning plus fours and shirt and tie under his sweater as if he was peering straight at the oil on canvas highly acclaimed artist Robert Fletcher. Mid-swing, putting and post-swing Bobby Jones are brushed in the background of the painting, adding an extra element and additional visual intrigue.
George Trevor sportswriter for the New York Sun would phrase Jones' four Major triumphs in 1930 as such, "stormed the impregnable quadrilateral of golf." It would be what many would consider the most important achievement in professional golf until that point.
