Original Tiger Woods In Sunday Red Oil Painting 'To The Green' By Artist Robert Fletcher
Brilliantly emphasizing Tiger's Sunday Red, while capturing the ultimate athlete "powering up" with forearms muscles flared at the top of his swing prior to contact, artist Robert Fletcher introduced the right color into this Tiger Woods original masterpiece. When Fletcher adds color to his work it is extremely purposeful. The color is recently in the news as Tiger transitioned from red Nike shirts to his own Taylormade line titled 'Sun Day Red.' The latter explained the color as "A symbol of Tiger's relentless pursuit of excellence, and a testament to his mental fortitude under the greatest of pressures." Woods was brushed milliseconds away from picking the ball off of the par 3 tee box with vigor and precision. Allowing Tiger Woods to standout from the background of this painting, as he did on the golf course for each of his professional final rounds (exception of debut), the red shirt and jet black pants make a statement - just as Robert Fletcher did with this depiction.
Renown golf industry artist Robert Fletcher has dedicated nearly 40 years to refining his craft in the fine arts. His works are exhibited on the historic grounds of Cherry Hills and Colorado Golf Club in bronze busts, prior to participating as a lead artist in a recent Golf Heritage Society Meeting art workshop. His most recent success was work that was used as a tribute to the course architect team of Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw at the Colorado Golf Club. Robert has a unique style, with a mix of realism and and shadowing resulting in an almost a mythic result. This offering is for a tastefully framed original oil on canvas of the legendary Tiger Woods by Robert Fletcher, with the prized artist's signature painted in the bottom right-hand corner. Fletcher's certificate of authenticity is included. 23" x 27"
