Payne Stewart Signed 1989 PGA Championship Program

With strong blue sharpie across the front cover of this 1989 PGA Championship official program the late champion Payne Stewart added his signature. After more than seven years on the tour, Payne Stewart did it, as he became a major champion at the course sitting just outside of Chicago. Donning his orange and navy blue Chicago Bears NFL attire, Stewart hoisted the Wanamaker trophy. Stewart would add two US Open wins in 1991 and 1999, before tragically passing on October 25, 1999. This program is the first that we have offered signed by Payne, a real challenge in the major champion signed program run. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity comes with this lot.
