The late three-time major winning Hall of Famer Payne Stewart has signed this golf glove in red sharpie. The glove is a Titleist #1 model stamped inside with ML and 502. Inside is a 5/8 by 1 1/4 inch tag stitched to the glove which reads "Made in England Medium Large Real Leather Gloves". Stewart early in his career used and was an endorser for Titleist golf balls until 1993, when he switched golf balls. He returned to the Titleist golf ball using their wound ball technology in 1999 when he claimed his second U.S. Open title in 1999. Throughout much of his career Stewart was seen wearing a Wilson Ultra glove, but this model appears to be early career. The Titleist glove contains use over all surfice areas which would be consistent with that of a professional player during a round. The authenticity of Stewarts signature is veified by JSA with a letter of authenticity which accompanies this lot.
