Peter Butler's 1971 Ryder Cup Team Gifted Leather Gloves Bag/Case by Pittard's

In thick, bold golden font across the top of this team issued leather gloves bag case over half of a century ago reads "Peter Butler" "Ryder Cup Team 1971." It was issued by the British team to the eventual four-time contestant Butler, along with his team branded golf bag and wardrobe for the 1971 biennial match on home soil at Old Warson. Gold on black print, this bag was produced for the locally crafted Tauton & Thorne while the leather was from Pittards. Two years later Butler would be substituted in prior to the second-day foursomes, becoming the first player to card an ace in the biennial matches.
