Peter Thomson Signed The Old Course St. Andrews Logo Golf Ball
The Australian golfer is best remembered for his five wins in The Open Championship. Thomson was inducted into the Sport Australia Hall of Fame in 1985. His Open Championship wins came in 1954, 1955, 1956, 1958, and 1965. He was the only man to win the tournament for three consecutive years in the 20th century. St. Andrews is the site of the second of three consecutive Open Championship victories for Thompson, which was during the 1955 season. Winning year is also noted on the logo golf ball
