Seve Ballesteros Signed 1989 Ryder Cup at The Belfry Media Staff Ticket #0158
The late Seve Ballesteros was beloved by his countrymen, as well as the rest of the golf world for his play, spirit and success. The European Ryder Cup superstar was chosen to play on nine European Ryder Cup teams, amassing 22.5 Ryder Cup points for Team Europe over those matches. The 1989 Ryder Cup at The Belfry was one for the record books, with a 14-14 draw resulting in Europe retaining the cup. Seve contributed 3 1/2 points himself. Ballesteros signed this 1989 Ryder Cup at The Belfry Media Staff Ticket #0158 with black ballpoint pen on the clean white reverse side. Seve won five majors during his illustrious career, splitting them between the Open Championship and the Masters. This ticket is in good condition, with its original string attached and slight overall usage, as it gained admittance for an individual to help tell the story of the 1989 Ryder Cup. 4 1/2" x 4 3/4." James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity comes with this lot.
