Tiger Woods & Butch Harmon Signed Original Augusta 1997 Masters Practice Rd Chipping Photo - April 8th
Tiger rehearsed a tight chip during Tuesday, April 8, 1997 Masters Tournament practice round with Butch Harmon offering instruction and caddy Mike 'Fluff' Cowen manning the bag, captured in this original photo with the Augusta National backdrop. Signers and subjects of this photo, pupil Tiger Woods and teacher Butch Harmon, were putting in their final preparations only two days prior to tournament play started. Notice that Woods' headcover Frank can be seen on the club in his Titleist bag. Tiger mania would be in full effect, but not yet, with the prized amateur making his first professional start at Augusta National Golf Club and third overall. The 1997 'Tradition Unlike Any Other' changed the golf landscape and will be looked at as one of the most significant golf tournaments for generations to come. This rare photo is signed by the star of the 1997 shoe 21-year-old Tiger Woods in his time-period black sharpie penmanship, along with his celebrity teacher and son of the 1948 Masters Claude Harmon perfectly. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity comes with this lot.

When placing your INITIAL bid in the auction, you must agree to the terms BEFORE confirming your bid. All items with multiple bidders in the auction will be eligible for the extended bidding period. Each lot will have its OWN COUNTDOWN CLOCK set for a 30-minute interval, and the clock will extend 30-minutes from the time of the most recently placed bid for that lot. If no bids are placed on that lot during a 30-minute period, the lot will close. Place your bids now!
1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots with only ONE or NO BIDS will automatically close at 10pm EDT
4. All available lots will begin closing on a LOT BY LOT basis at 10pm EDT
Extended bidding starts at 10pm EDT, and each lot will begin closing with its own 30-minute countdown timer. Lots without a bid during extended bidding will close at 10:30pm ET. We recommend you place your maximum bid(s) prior to that time. Thank you
