Tiger's Father Earl Woods Signed Augusta National Scorecard & 1997 Spec Guide
The scene of Tiger Woods embracing his father, Earl Woods, after winning the 1997 Masters tournament showed the world how much Tiger’s dad meant to him in golf and in life. It has been well documented that Tiger started playing golf at a young age, with his dad providing him with as much guidance as he could every step of the way. That didn’t go away after Tiger became a PGA Tour champion, as he still would lean on him for putting tips and friendship. Earl was Tiger’s best friend until he passed away in 2006.
Former lieutenant colonel Earl Woods left his signature on the front side of the ANGC scorecard above the logo as “Bob, all the best in golf and life. Earl Woods.” This message is the same one he gave to his son countless times in words or actions. In the inside of the scorecard the scorer is filled out as being Earl Woods and the title of “Father of Tiger” placed on the attest line. The 1997 Sec Guide will accompany this scorecard. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed the signature and their auction letter of authenticity will come with this lot.
AUCTION CLOSING RULES:
This auction will end at 9:00pm EST Sunday, April 14th, with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period (at 10pm EST, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval)
1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins in order to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
