For the regular viewers of The Golf Auction, and golf autograph collectors in general the difficulty of getting Tom Watson to sign Masters related memorabilia is well documented. For accuracy of this difficulty factor the offered badge in this lot marks the first 1981 Masters badge signed by Tom which we have offered in the auction. For those building the set of signed Masters badges, enjoy the bidding it should be interesting.***All proceeds from this auction item will be donated to the Bruce Edwards Foundation for ALS Research. In April 2004, Bruce Edwards, longtime friend and caddy of PGA golfer Tom Watson, died from ALS. They provide funds to medical research facilities dedicated to slowing the progression of and finding a cure for ALS. The Foundation fulfills a promise made to Bruce by Tom to continue to fight to find a cure for this fatal disease. We are pleased to offer this item for such a great cause.
