Tom Watson Signed 1982 US Open @ Pebble Beach Logo Golf Ball

In a dead heat with Jack Nicklaus for the 1982 U.S. Open Championship, Tom Watson sank an impossible chip shot from an embedded deep rough lie on the 17th hole. For good measure he birdied the 18th hole to win the Open notching his at the time sixth Major. Watson signed golf balls are seldom offered, Watson golf balls with the 1982 U.S. Open at Pebble Beach are a whole level higher on the difficulty scale. Enjoy this opportunity to add a fine collectible to your ever impressive collection. James Spence Authentication (JSA) provides authenticity with this lot. All proceeds from this auction item will be donated to the Bruce Edwards Foundation for ALS Research. In April 2004, Bruce Edwards, longtime friend and caddy of PGA golfer Tom Watson, died from ALS. They provide funds to medical research facilities dedicated to slowing the progression of and finding a cure for ALS. The Foundation fulfills a promise made to Bruce by Tom to continue to fight to find a cure for this fatal disease. We are pleased to offer this item for such a great cause.

Please note: This auction will end at 7:00pm EST on November 22nd with extended bidding to follow. All items in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period. All lots are free to be bid on until extended bidding has ended
