Tom Weiskopf Signed Tom Weiskopf Model Ball

1973 Open Championship winner Tom Weiskopf signs his 'Weiskopf' logo golf ball in black Sharpie. See photos for condition of signature and ball. Weinkopf won 16 times on the PGA Tour, 28 times professionally. The 1973 Open Championship at Troon Golf Club in Scotland would be his lone major championship, and he did so comfortably, winning by three strokes over Johnny Miller and Neil Coles. He was a wire-to-wire winner and his 12-under 276 total score matched the then-existing Open Championship record set by Arnold Palmer on the same course in 1962. After his playing career, he has remained entrenched in the game of golf, becoming a well-respected course designer. Weinkopf is credited in being involved in the design of over 40 courses. In January, it was announced that Weinkopf would lead a renovation of the Torrey Pines North Course in San Diego, California. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this autograph and their certification of its authenticity will come with this lot.
