Tony Lema Signed Personal Match Used Titleist 7 Logo Golf Ball
Culminating in a relic that is likely missing from even the most advanced collections, this offering features Champagne Tony Lema's Personal Match Used Titleist 7 logo golf ball signed by Tony Lema. Lema found the winner's circle 12 times on the PGA Tour, including his career summit at the 1964 British Open. The cornerstone win came at St Andrews in Scotland and during Lema's first rounds of competition in Britian. Another newcomer to golf with a British backdrop was Jack Nicklaus, who was bested by Lema by a wide 5-stroke magrin.
Tragically Tony Lema's career and life were cut short while returning home from the 1966 PGA Championship in Akron in a fatal plane crash. Long before signing golf balls was a practice that professional golfers were accustomed to doing, Lema used a blue ballpoint pen to form his name on the dimple surface. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature, and their full letter of authenticity will come to the fortunate winner of this seldom seen signed golf ball. This is only the second signed golf ball from Lema which we have had the privilege auctioning over our ten plus years in business.

All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period (at 10pm EST, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval). 1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins in order to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
