Vintage Pine Needles Tee Marker - Weighs Over 3 Pounds © 1927

Located across the street from Mid Pines Inn & Golf Club and near the historic Village of Pinehurst, Pine Needles Lodge & Golf Club is a world class golf retreat. Known for its cozy ambiance and immaculate 1927 Donald Ross design, Pine Needles is the first course in the nation to be awarded four U.S. Women’s Open Championships. Golfweek recently named Pine Needles the #4 golf course in the North Carolina.

This course was owned by the legendary Peggy Kirk Bell for decades. Peggy personally gave this circa 1927 Pine Needles Tee Marker, weighing more than 3 pounds, to a noted member of the Golf Heritage Society a few years ago prior to Peggy’s passing. Our consignor acquired this beauty from that noted GHS collector sometime later and now makes it available to the auction marketplace. Made from what appears to be iron or lead, this marker has vintage and history written all over it. “Pine Needles” is embedded in raised letters on this special tee marker. It is truly a wonderful tee marker made of the highest quality. The winning bidder will absolutely love this tee marker - it’s that good! 7”
