Vintage Spalding F-17 Kro-Flite Waterfall Iron - Willie Ogg

The R & A outlawed the Waterfall clubs in the early 1900's. The single waterfall scoring was a refined version of William Reach's double waterfall idea. Having the ribs a more pronounced arc made the controlling of a short shot easier. After notorious golfer's such as Francis Ouimet and Howard Whitney (President of the USGA) began stating their displeasure over the "Jerko" club, it was eventually disbarred from play in the following months. The iron offered here comes in great condition and measures 36" to the heel.

Please note: This auction will end at 5:00pm EST on Sunday, April 8th, with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. Still the lowest rate among major golf auction houses, there is a buyer's premium of 17.5% for all items. All lots are free to be bid on until extended bidding has ended.
