Walter Hagen 1977 Memorial Tournament Ltd Ed Porcelain Honoree Plate

This lot features a commemorative plate from the 1977 Memorial Tournament. Each year the Memorial Tournament honors an important figure in golf. Selecting honorees was Nicklaus' idea as a contribution to perpetuating achievements of the games' greatest individuals. Walter Hagen was the honoree in 1977, with his 11 Major championships good enough for 3rd place all time, behind Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods. The blue and white plate comes in excellent condition and is 8 1/2" in diameter, made in Denmark by B&G Copenhagen Porcelain.
