Three Maureen Orcutt's Originals in Augusta with Montell Photo Stamp (Frank Christian Uncle)
9 1/4" x 12" photo an original from Juan Montell photography of Maureen Orcutt seated on bench at Augusta, GA in 1932 is offered here. Maureen Orcutt was a renowned amateur golfer beginning in the 1920's through her "senior" years in the 1960's. She was a member of four Curtis Cup teams. Juan Montell immigrated from Sicily in the late 1800's and found a passion for photography and entrepreneurship that led to him photographing the land in Augusta as it transformed into the Augusta National Golf Club. His nephew Frank Christian Sr. took over the business in 1927 and later became the official photographer for the ANGC, working closely with Bobby Jones and Clifford Roberts. This item comes from the personal collection of Maureen Orcutt.
