Reigning Masters Champ Horton Smith's 1934 Louisville Open Winner's 10k Balfour Medal
The 1 1/4" diameter champions 10K Gold medal which Horton Smith won for capturing the 1934 Louisville Open had a striking resemblance to another champion golfer Bobby Jones on the front of the award. Verso side lists 10k and Balfour along with event title and Horton Smith as champion at 286. Tthe 1934 Louisville Open Golf Tournament at Louisville Country Club was won by the year's reigning Masters Champion Horton Smith roughly seven months after the historic inaugural tournament. The Louisville Open like so many other events of the day included a grueling 36 hole final day Sunday.

All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period (at 10pm EST, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval). 1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
