Harry "Lighthorse" Cooper Signed MacGregor Logo Golf Ball with '1995'
Harry "Lighthorse" Cooper was an English-American golfer who was considered one of the best to never win a Major tournament, despite winning 31 times on the PGA Tour. After winning the inaugural Los Angeles Open and finishing the final 18 holes in just 2 1/2 hours, sportswriter Damon Runyon dubbed him "Lighthorse Harry" after Lighthorse Harry Lee, a cavalry officer for the Continental Army in the American Revolution (the father of General Robert E. Lee.) This ball includes his '1995' inscription in black ink.
James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature, and their auction letter of authenticity comes with this lot.
