1995 Open Championship at St Andrews Decorative Porcelain Plate by Bill Waugh - Palmer's Last


Here is a decorative plate handcrafted by artist Bill Waugh. Waugh is well-known for doing work centered around golf courses and like subjects. Here is a plate commemorating Arnold Palmer's final round of Open Championship golf in 1995. With additions of the Calret Jug and The Old Course at St Andrews clubhouse, this plate's content is strong.

Bill Waugh has established himself as one of Golf's major international artists. Amoung his clients he can name many of the game's elite including Steve Ballesteros, Greg Norman, Gary Player and a couple of U.S. Presidents. His special skill is depicting famous courses and their clubhouses in beautiful watercolors and oils. Such is his prowess that apart from his special commissions he has produced work for the Open, the U.S. Open, the Ryder Cup and famous clubs around the world

This auction will end at 9:00pm EST Sunday, July 21st with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period (at 10pm EST, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval)

1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins in order to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
