1621 Acts of Parliament of Scotland Book - 1st Mention of Golf in Scotland - Banned!
"Fute-ball and golfe banned." Nearly 400 years ago the raw and unrefined game of 'golfe' was mentioned for the first time in its birthplace Scotland's published text. This 1621 publication is highly sought after and now is your chance to add it to a well-esteemed golf collection or library. Complete and in good vintage condition, this book comes with the text location marked. Scotland's St Andrews' Royal and Ancient organization was founded 133 years after this publication, in 1754. As the Open Championship is upon us, reminders of the game of golf's origin find a way of appearing in many different ways.
