Arnold Palmer Signed 1964 Green Jacket Ceremony Oversize Photo w/ Jack
Palmer penned his signature flawlessly in black sharpie, while likely reminiscing on a moment few that saw will forget. This photo was taken after the resolution of the 1964 Masters Tournament play at the green jacket ceremony. As many know, the green jacket is placed on the year’s champion by the previous one. Between 1962 and 1965 the champion alternated Arnold Palmer and then Jack Nicklaus, with Nicklaus winning back-to-back in 1965 and 1966. The king and bear ended up being great friends after starting out fierce rivals. This kind of moment is one that virtually all golf enthusiasts look back on and smile. The image has the dimensions of 11" H x 14" W. It is double matted for presentation purposes. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authentication comes with this lot.
