John Dunn Columbia Special Forged Left-Handed Mashie
John Dunn's signature rampant lion identifies this Columbia Special forged left-handed mashie as a club from the well respected golf family that Willie Dunn Sr., who apprenticed under the Gourlay family and was the greens-keeper at Blackheath. In 1899 John Dunn laid out the Columbia Course in South Carolina and a year later started clubmaking at Bridgeport Cun Implement Co. Brother Tom ran the course design side of the family business to allow John to focus on clubmaking. This club is in good to very good condition, with both the lion and crown stamps adding to the Columbia Special stamp. 36" to the heel. Slight bend from grip to shaft
