1995 Amateur Tiger Woods Signed Masters White Logo Hat w/ Others - 1st Masters
A young 19-year-old Tiger Woods brought his clubs to Augusta National Golf Club as a contestant for the first time in 1995 with an invitation from the club after his 1994 (first) US Amateur title. It wouldn't take him long for the phenom to 'master' the course, winning in only his third attempt in 1997. Tiger Woods applied his amateur 1995 signature formation on this hat in Stanford University red next to his predecessors and past Masters Tournament champions Fred Couples, Ben Crenshaw (champion) along with Nick Price and fellow amateur Trip Kuehne, who Woods famously beat to win 1994 US Amateur. Trip Kuehne would not play the Masters Tournament again until 2008, with foe Tiger Woods having four green jackets by then. This hat is in overall good condition, with clear signatures that show nicely on the white of the brim as depicted in accompanying lot photos. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity comes with this lot.
