Tiger Woods & Both 1995 Walker Cup Teams Signed 'A History Of Golf' Book By Elliot & May
Collegiate golfers and teammates at Stanford Tiger Woods and Notah Begay II headed up the 1995 United States Walker Cup Team, along with other notable amateurs of the day Trip Kuehne and Buddy Marucci. Woods had won two of his three USGA US Amateur titles in his storied amateur run. Interestingly enough a spectator that week, possibly knowing this tournament contained golfers that would go on to make golf history themselves, brought along a hardcover publication of 'A History of Golf' as a vehicle for signatures of the tournament's participants both on the United States and GB & Ireland sides. The 1995 time-period signatures are highlighted by a clean, red ballpoint pen signature by Tiger Woods. The full roster signatures include the aforementioned gentlemen, along with future multi-major champion Padraig Harrington. This is without a doubt a one-of-a-kind item, able to be enjoyed intact inside the book or removed and mounted. The tournament at Royal Porthcawl Golf Club in Wales Woods would shockingly split his singles matches against Englishman Gary Wolstenholme on the way to the US squad falling to the home team of Great Britain and Ireland 10 to 14. Place your bids now as this auction will close LOT BY LOT beginning at 9:00pm ET Sunday, June 20th. When placing INITIAL bid, you must agree to the terms BEFORE confirming your bid. All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will be eligible for the extended bidding period. Each lot will have its own countdown clock set for a 30-minute interval starting at 9pm ET. The clock will extend 30-minutes from the time of the most recently placed bid for that lot. If no bids are placed on that lot during a 30-minute period, the lot will close. Place your bids now!
1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm ET
4. All lots will begin closing on a LOT BY LOT basis at 9pm ET
