This work is a high-quality commercial photogravure after Gibson's original pen and ink drawing, exhibiting the artist's characteristic fluid line work and dense cross-hatching. The print includes the title A Little Incident and the subtitle Showing that even inanimate objects can enter into the spirit of the game. It features a facsimile signature in the lower right and a printed copyright for Life Publishing Co. dated 1900. No specific catalog reference or provenance is provided. Dimensions: 18” x 22.” The impression quality is sharp and well-defined. The paper shows overall toning consistent with age and a prominent brownish circular foxing mark on the right side of the image area. No tears or trimming are visible. The black frame with a gilded inner lip exhibits minor wear.
