1918 Belleair Country Club West Coast Open Winners Gold Medal Won by Jock Hutchison
1st time winner on the PGA Tour, Jock Hutchison had to outduel eventual 4-time major champion Jim Barnes at Belleair Country Club for the title of the Florida West Coast Open. Hutchison's strokes total was 284, enough to do that by a margin of two strokes. Surely one of his most cherished relics and memorable awards ceremonies came during this tournament win, giving him the confidence to notch 13 more including the 1920 PGA Championship, 1921 Open Championship and 1923 Western Open. Proudly presented here is that Bellair Country Club Est. 1897 14-karat gold medal presented to winner of Plant Trophy in 1918, as so elegantly engraved in script on the reverse. Incredible visual appeal adorns this over a century old medal on both the front and verso. Interestingly enough the engraver, likely from the states and much more familiar with the name Jack than Jock, misspelled the champion's name on the medal when closely inspected. Reverse reads: 'The Bellair country Club - West Coast - Open Championship - 1918 - Winner of Plant Trophy - Won by - Jack Hutchison. 14k' gold and measures 1 3/4" diameter

All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period (at 10pm EST, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval). 1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
