1921 Bobby Jones Original Photo - Age 19 During His First British Amateur Week
Preserved on the back of the Bobby Jones, as a 19-year-old, photo 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 is the dating May either 21 or 27, 1921. By that dating the image would be placed at Hoylake, England site of the British Amateur that week, Jones first year of competition in the event. Jones played an exhibition there on May 22. The 19-year-old Jones followed that up with three wins before losing a fourth round match to Allan Graham, the eventual silver medalist. Back displays apparent remnants of gluing to scrapbook, but front displays a crisp excellent appearance.
