1923 American Walker Cup Team Sterling Silver Humidor Presented to J. Frederick Byers
Featured here in this lot is a sterling silver humidor that would make an incredible gift for any golf fan. It was presented to J. Frederick Byers by the 1923 American Walker Cup Team "in appreciation of his kindness." Byers was the USGA President in 1922 and 1923. The 1923 Walker Cup was played on the Old Course at St Andrews and the American team won 6 1/2 to 5 1/2. Francis Ouimet (Team United States) and Cyril Tolley (Team Great Britain) played in the 1923 Walker Cup. Presents in excellent condition and would shine on a desk at home or in the office.
