Here is the Bobby Jones card #7 from the 1927 W.A. & A.C. Churchman Imperial Tobacco famous gofers set and the larger of two sizes of Jones cards from the same maker and year, this appearing in the 1927 set of 12 W.A. & A.C. Churchman "Famous Golfers" 'large' size series. This card is one of the most well known and popular cards of Bobby Jones, wider than the 'small' version which is also offered in this auction in a different lot. With Jones' popularity rivaling Babe Ruth in the 1920's and 30's sporting world it is also one of the top golf cards of all time. With the same image as Jones' 1926 Lambert & Sons rookie card, this example includes a some creasing, rounded corners and scant discoloration as depicted in the accompanying lot photos.
