Time period silver gelatin press photograph by Underwood and Underwood depicting Bobby Jones putting on the 18th green during the 1929 National Open. The composition captures Jones in mid-putt, watched by a large gallery of spectators and a caddy standing on the green. The reverse of the print features distinct blue ink stamps from the Underwood and Underwood agency, referencing their New York offices at 3 West 46th Street and 242 West 55th Street, and detailing specific reproduction rights and restrictions. Handwritten notations on the verso identify the subject and event, reading: Bobby Jones putting at 18th hole during match with Al Watrous and - National Open of 1929. The archive reference number 10239A1 is written twice. This original period press print documents Jones during the tournament year he won his third U.S. Open title at Winged Foot Golf Club. 10" x 8" with one minor flaw being a jaggedness to lower edge of image.
