1930 Women's US Amateur Championship at Los Angeles CC Contestant Badge #50
Glenna Collett was the Bobby Jones in Women's golf during the 1920's and 1930's, winning 16 consecutive tournaments from 1928 and 1931. 1924 marked a year in which Collett won 59 of her 60 matches, a performance that has not been matched on either the women's or the men's side. The 1930 Women's US Amateur went to the sensational Glenna Collet 6 & 5 over Virginia Van Wie winner. This badge acts as a relic from the USGA to remember the 1930 Women's US Amateur, as well as the champion of that tournament, quite possibly the best female golfer there ever was. Attached is the contestant's identifier #50. Its condition remains very good. 1 1/4" diameter
