1931 Women's US Amateur Contestant Pin
The U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship marks the beginning of women’s competitive golf in this country. Along with the U.S. Amateur and the U.S. Open, the Women’s Amateur was one of the USGA’s first three championships. With 90 women entered into the 1931 Women's Amateur Tournamnet, Helen Hicks defeated Glenna Collett Vare 2 & 1 for the championship triumph. Offered here is a contestant pin from that tournament, it is in good condition with the pin and clasp still in place.
