1946 Masters Tournament FINAL Rd Sunday Ticket #112 - Low Number & Great Condition
The 1946 Masters Tournament was the 10th edition of the 'Tournament Unlike Any Other' at Augusta National Golf Club. It also marked the first Masters since 1942 because of World War II. The patient patrons saw Springfield, Missouri's Herman Keiser go on to win the first Masters Tournament held in four years. Keiser and 'The Hawk' Ben Hogan both three-putted the 18th hole on Sunday to allow Keiser to win by the narrowest of margins, a single stroke. Here we have the octagonal Sunday final round ticket #112 found in a very similar condition when it was issued for $5.00. This FINAL ROUND seldom seen ticket is well worth a look for the Masters collectors. The proud owner of this blazing example of the '46 ticket will never have to upgrade for condition reasons. This desired badge remains in a very strong near mint condition with sharp edges, vibrant color and its original narrow off-white string. Merely nitpicking and noted for accuracy purposes only, there is a small discoloration on the reverse.
This is the largest auction we have had to date. Please use the search button and categories tab as an option to navigate your way through the numerous lots.
