1946 Masters Tournament Sunday Final Rd Ticket #111 with Original String - Low Number
This prized ducat used to gain admittance to 1946 Masters Tournament FINAL ROUND presented here with the low number just sneaking into the triple digits at #111 will be well received by bidders, as it was only the 10th playing of the 'Tradition Unlike Any Other.' It also marked the first Masters since 1942 due to World War II. Herman Keiser went on to win the first post-war Masters Tournament. Keiser and then major-less Ben Hogan both three-putted the 18th hole on Sunday to allow Keiser to win by one stroke. What unfolded that final day was one of the most improbable "dual" outcomes that The Masters has ever seen.
This is a seldom seen ticket that is well worth a look for the Masters collectors. This desired octagonal badge remains in a very strong near excellent condition with sharp edges. Minor flaws would be limited to slight adhesive residue, and extremely minute paper loss at the Masters logo on front. The proud owner of this blazing example of the '46 ticket will have crossed off their list a very important addition on the pursuit of a complete run of Masters badges.
