1948 'Every Idle Dream' by Bernard Darwin
World Golf Hall of Famer for his contribution to the game in 2005, Bernard Darwin wrote this grouping of 29 essays in which he digs deep into his own development as a child with a fascination for toy soldiers and the railroad junctions conveniently located near the golf course. He speaks about not just the sport of golf, but cricket as well. This example of the Darwin work is a first edition 1948 print. It comes in good condition, with discoloring on the front and back covers at the top of the spine and the original owner's handwritten name and address on the flyleaf.
